During a search for stolen property in Shelby County, Texas a man and a woman 3o year old Billy Scates and 27 year old Michael Scates were arrested for possessing 55 grams of methamphetamine worth $5,500.
Twenty-two people have been indicted after a sting operation broke up a meth distribution ring in Stuttgart, Arkansas. From KATV-7 ABC affiliate in Little Rock:
Operation Meilke Way is named for 38 year-old Michael Meilke of Bradford Arkansas.
Meilke was not the accused ring-leader of the meth ice distribution chain based in Mexico and broken up by the collaborative efforts of numerous crime fighting teams.
That would be Jorge Rojas-Olivera.
But Meilke got caught early.
“He was one of the first ones at the train station that we got,” shared DEA Special Agent in Charge William J. Bryant.
So…Operation Meilke Way was born…an operation that has indicted 22 individuals…many from central Arkansas…including Rojas-Oliver (27, Batesville), Meilke, and Kriston Birmingham (32, Bradford).
Also Maynor Efren Bravo-Fuentes (46), Flora DeMaria Mendez-Ixlaj (aka Flor Mendez-Vasquez, 22), Juana Patricia Bamac-Perez (32), Selvin Garcia-Garcia (aka Jose Villarreal, 23) and Steve Marroquin (50)…all of Batesville.
Other arrests include Eddy Boche (25, Berryville), Jose Samuel Garcia (40, Green Forest), Terry Wayne Green (54, Pleasant Plains), Rex Ramey Davis (48, Judsonia), and Ronald Clyde White (64, Bald Knob).
Pulaski County indictments include Stephen Earl Hill (39) and Angelique N. Kennedy (38) of Maumelle, Paul Randall Hussey (41), Kevin Randall Hyder (36) and Rhanda Rachael Ramey (30) of North Little Rock, and Rodolfo Longoria (aka Rodolfo Longoria III, 44) of Jacksonville.
Joshua Hawley, 28, of Benton was arrested. Out-of-state arrests include Nathan Harris Henry (33, California, MO) and Sarah Jean Andres (36, Mound MN).
In Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, three men Alex McCarty, 18, of Sartell, Trevor Burton, 22, of Sartell, Barry Lambertson, 25, of Oak Park were arrested in possession of over $10,000 worth of marijuana and one and one half ounces of meth. Arresting officers also found a loaded .45 caliber pistol and other drug paraphernalia.
From WAKA-8 CBS Kenneth Neely of Selma, Alabama was arrested for operating a meth lab in his home.
Brian Travelstead, 42; Joseph Byrd, 57; and Kentlee Larsson, 26, of 111 Coveney Court in Summerville, South Carolina are all facing charges of manufacturing methamphetamine with intent to distribute. The cops went to the mobile home park to serve to warrants to Travelstead who was in violation of his parole.
