Yesterday afternoon I found myself sitting at the long glistening bar in Vulca the best restaurant in Dis when an old friend sat down next to me. Baidoo Hakh was once the police chief in Gilbesht and now is an officer in the Directat Javeth Nathux the Afterlife equivalent of the CIA. He ordered a Moscow Mule and I started a conversation.

“So what about this Trayvon Martin case?” I asked.

“What case,” Hakh snorted. “It should have never happened. “Zimmerman shouldn’t have had a gun in his possession, should have never pursued Martin and definitely shouldn’t have confronted the boy when he didn’t have any idea if he was armed or not. That guy violated every possible procedure that any qualified and trained cop has burned into his DNA.”

“So why hasn’t Zimmerman been arrested?”

“I really can’t say Fred. Police incompetence comes to mind though. From what we know there was an altercation and Zimmerman and Martin exchanged words and then blows. Still, having a kid get the best of you in a fight that Zimmerman caused by not avoiding confrontation isn’t cause to use deadly force.” Hakh turned to me and smiled. “Simply put this in your next article; Zimmerman was hunting. Every scan of Trayvon’s memories says so. There were racial slurs and Zimmerman clearly has a thing against black humans and delusions of being a part of law enforcement. The man went out that night looking for someone to shoot the way I see it. Zimmerman’s life is forfeit because this was premeditated. As for George’s Afterlife, well the Special Branch has plenty of crosses out back.”

In Hindsight

This whole thing stinks to me because it seems that once again in America if you’re doing anything “while black” you have to take precaustions that no white citizen would ever have to take. Where is the Justice in a black teenager not being able to walk home from the store without his life being in danger from some white guy who wants to be John Wayne? There is plenty enough crime out there on American streets still despite the FBI statistics citing a decline in violent crime that Americans do not need trigger happy civilians roaming their neighborhoods looking for trouble. George Zimmerman would be going on with his mundane life right now and Trayvon martin would be sitting in a classroom today if the fever caused by the fear of a black man didn’t cause a tragedy that was further made an injustice by the refusal of the Sanford Police Department to arrest Groge Zimmerman. No Justice, No Peace!
