CONSERVATIVES WILL NEVER BELIEVE THE TRUTH ABOUT OBAMACARE ENROLLMENT

The exchanges have opened and to be realistic about it the rollout of ObamaCare for the nearly 40 million Americans without health insurance has been a disaster. I don’t blame Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, I blame the designers of the exchange signup system. Now generally the crap rolls against gravity uphill in these situations but the potentially politically disastrous exchange failure, and yes right now it is a failure, is not a reason to remove a Cabinet level secretary.

The government shutdown and the looming crisis that will come if the debt ceiling isn’t raised have overshadowed the failure of the rollout in the media at least for now. There really won’t be numbers coming out on who has signed up for what until the system is fixed and the workers at HHS who will do the counting for 36 states return to work. The states with their own exchanges will have some numbers to report before the Thanksgiving holiday. I expect those numbers to be robust.

Those robust numbers however don’t fit into the plans of conservatives who, like they do with Bureau of Labor Statistics numbers that show unemployment falling, will surely say that the numbers have been cooked to present ObamaCare in a favorable light. These are the same people who believe there were a million veterans in DC yesterday–confederate flag and all.
