CONSERVATIVE REVISIONIST HISTORY: BREITBART OBFUSCATES ON “SWARMS” OF MUSLIMS ON ROOFTOPS ON 9/11
Desperate to keep their man at the top of the GOP cadaver pile, John Nolte has written a piece at Breitbart that would be rejected in a freshman creative writing course in an attempt to “vindicate” Donald Trump’s lie about “watched the World Trade Center go down, “as thousands of people were cheering as the building was coming down,” in Jersey City, New Jersey on 11 September 2001. The most sad part of this attempt at revisionism is that if one were simply to listen to the report from 16 September 2001 you can clearly hear Pablo Guzman say that the FBI had discovered an apartment which was “swarming with suspects which had been seen celebrating on the roof.”
This swarm was eight men according to the report. Trump said, “thousands” but to conservatives ever looking to justify their bigotry with lies, thousands must equal any number closely approaching three quarters of a dozen. Trump is by no rational standard vindicated, but, of course, conservatives will move along from this fabrication to the next awful thing the man who be remembered for murdering the GOP has to say.
