CIARA MEYER IS THE ANSWER ANY PROGRESSIVE SHOULD GIVE TO A CONSERVATIVE GUN LOVER ON DEFENDING THEIR HOME AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT
I didn’t want this to become a political post but the more I thought about the events that lead to the death of Ciara Meyer, 12 of Penn Township, Pennsylvania I found that impossible. Conservatives will hate this story because Ciara was not in a gang and she did not have a black boyfriend who could be blamed. Nor was she in a Liberal town as the county in which she lived voted 68% for Mitt Romney in 2012. As a matter of fact Ciara lived in a town and adjacent area where the population is more than 98% white and 0.3% black out of a population of 3,013 Souls. In fact her death is the fault of her father Donald B Meyer and the National Rifle Association. The elder Meyer was being evicted from his home yet he owned a .223 rifle which had a magazine which could hold 30 rounds. One could posit that Donald Meyer should have sold his rifle and gotten what he could to at least help to pay the rent. Instead when the Constable Clark Steele arrived at his home to evict him Meyer chose to point his loaded rifle at the officer. Steele fired and the round struck and killed Ciara instantly.
I have read many times on the terrestrial Internet where those on the right say they could defend their home against the government if they came to take their guns. I’ve also noted many times conservatives opining that if more people carried guns there would be less crime because good gun toting citizens with no police training could help the police to thwart rapes, robberies and homicides. Well in this case a man with a loaded .223 rifle only succeeded in getting his 12 year old girl killed and himself arrested. There is a GoFundMe site to cover the burial expenses for Ciara Meyer who is now a Free Citizen in the Afterlife and away from all the guns and killing and anger that are a part of the culture of American Conservatism.
