BREAKING NEWS: ACTIVE SHOOTER 2 VICTIMS DOWN AT BOELTER HALL ON THE CAMPUS OF UCLA
The University of California at Los Angeles campus is on lockdown after reports of an active shooter on campus and two victims who are “down.” An alert went out just before 1000 local time asking all students to shelter in place. ABC-7 in Los Angeles reports that LAPD offciers have responded in tactical gear.
Most of the police activity is concentrated around the engineering building Boelter Hall.
More to follow. The UCLA Police Department has confirmed two victims as of 1342. The LAPD has been placed on a city widen tactical alert. Media now reporting at 1345 that the FBI is on the scene. The Daily Bruin has this take on the current events.
@karaleung, an IT worker and photographer at UCLA is reporting on Twitter that police officers are searching from room to room for the shooter. She is also reporting, as of 17 minutes ago, “Bomb squad just pulled into entrance to Parking 9. Um, yea. Unnerving.”
As of 14h 11m HST the LAPD is confirming two are dead.
The Daily Bruin is now reporting that the shooters are a man and a woman.
Most recent reports from sources in Los Angeles are calling this a murder suicide this is confirmed by LAPD Chief Charlie Beck.
