“Make America Great Again,” says Trump. “Make America White Again,” say Rick Tyler independent candidate for the 3rd District House seat [Once held by Estes Kefauver]in Tennessee. Those two statements are one in the same to a segment of 18 million or so voters in the United States. Mostly living in rural areas and mostly having a high school diploma or less education, these white Americans are angry that the demographics are shifting, swiftly, against them in the nation that promised them unending privilege based upon race.
Rick Tyler posted the following on his website:
The “Make America White Again” billboard advertisement will cut to the very core and marrow of what plagues us as a nation. As Anne Coulter so effectively elucidates in her book, Adios America, the overhaul of America’s immigration law in the 1960’s has placed us on an inevitable course of demise and destruction. Yes…the cunning globalist/Marxist social engineers have succeeded in destroying that great bulwark against statist tyranny…the white American super majority. Without its expedited restoration little hope remains for the nation as a whole.
Well, really? Starting out quoting Ann Coulter is a recipe in disaster in itself but I will let that go this time. America is changing and I believe it is changing for the better. More diversity, more college educated professionals, more skilled tradesmen and women and America might just rise again under the leadership of Hillary Clinton to be as great as it once was. But this will only happen if the corporations that really run your country see a vast amount of profit in taking their foot off the necks of the middle class. So Mr Tyler it’s not about blacks or Latinos or even Muslims it’s about the staggering number of millions of meth addicted whites who are on welfare that will vote for you be cause OBAMA! And that my friends is the very definition of voting against your self interest.
As the photo above of the lovely and talented Keri Russell shows this expresses my emotion when I am told by a Trump supporter that the “silent majority” is behind them and that they are going to win in November. Mr Tyler white America is not a monolith as it was one hundred or even seventy-five years ago. Young white women are far more educated that they were fifty years ago. They vote the issues just like you did 25 years ago. Appealing to religion and race, finally in American politics, means nothing. Just like your failed bid to win a congressional seat will be simply another footnote of right wing bigotry in the history of American politics.
