LATEST QUINNIPIAC POLL FROM VIRGINIA SHOWS JUST HOW OBAMA WILL WIN REELECTION

The coming presidential election in the US is slated to be one of the toughtest and most partisan in history. The Right seems resurgent today as they have crushed the recall efforts of Democrats in the state of Wisconsin. Demographics in battleground states and the polls being taken therein, however are starting to show that a second term for President barack Obama seems very likely– right now. Of course anything can and will happen between now and the first Tuesday in November.

Looking at an article by Bill Bartel in the Virginian Pilot this morning I found this nugget which seems to explain just how the Obama campaign can win and win easily there.

“Two of every three younger voters – 18 to 34 year olds – supported the president but Romney was favored by almost half of those over 55 or older. Middle-aged voters were split between the two candidates.”

Now think about that for a moment. The concentrations of population in the Commonwealth of Virginia are the countoes and cities surrounding Washington, D.C. and in Hampton Roads. A split in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach/Newport News MSA and a landslide in NOVA [Arlington/Alexandria/Fairfax] would result in a clear and resounding victory for Obama in the Old Dominion. Young people are motivated by what they see as a failure of so-called “traditional values” to support their freedom. Young people, those 18 to 35 have easy access to the voting booths. Were I running for president I would want young people on my side who were energized vice those over 55 who might not be able to get out of the house on a cold rainy November morning.

In the end it will be ground game of who can get their people to the polls. Older citizens are wonderful agitators on blogs and grousers about the fringe issues surrounding the conservative punditry sites but in the end it will be women and the youth of America who decide this election with moderates. This is one of the reasons why GOP state legislatures are trying to make it as difficult as possible for minorities and the young to vote this year. I doubt if that will work because Democrats have, over the past three elections, had an excellent get out the vote ground game. I’d like to go out on a limb right now and declare a winner in the 2012 election but like I said before there’s too many variables to make a clear prediction overall. In the Commonwealth of Virginia, however, I think Obama can win handily because the kids are alright.

Qu’ul cuda praedex nihil!

Oh so you saying that Obama will win because kids are naive–do you think they can’t figure out they are losing their freedoms on a daily basis because this admin is so control-oriented. Obama is going down. Ask Wisconsin!!!!!!!!!!!
